Baltic Sea Region Fam Trip

Check out the itinerary I just received for my Baltic Sea Region Fam Trip I get to take as a travel agent! I leave on June 4th which is coming up soon. I haven’t been to any of these cities or the Baltic Region in general and I’m so excited! I’ll try to take a ton of pictures

I will be going to Hamburg, Germany, Warsaw, Poland, Riga, Latvia and Helsinki, Finland

9:00 am                Meeting with the guide and minibus transfer to the hotel and check-in (check-in is upon availability, as the check in starts at 14:00). There will be a possibility for the guests to leave their luggage and use the hotel facilities to freshen up before the program starts

Opera Hotel & SPA, 4 Raiņa bulvāris 33, Rīga

 

10:00 am              Guided walk to the Old Town with a visit to the Latvian National Opera for a backstage tour including Riga sparkling wine welcome drink

12:00 noon          Lunch at Melnie Mūki (Black Monks) restaurant

1:30 pm                Old Town walking tour, visiting Dome square and Latvian National Art Museum Affiliate in Riga Bourse, namely exhibition of Latvian born American artist Vija Celmiņa. Information about Riga  as the  2014  European Capital of Culture project

Proceed to the Old Town of Riga for a sightseeing walk through the medieval part of Riga, surrounded by historical stories and legends, an introduction into Riga’s history starting with the 13th century

4:00 pm                Boat tour along the Riga Canal and the Daugava river, a perfect way to observe the historical fortification system of the town, as well as get acquainted with the  recreational possibilities of Riga

5:30 -7:00 pm     Free time to enjoy Riga and visit souvenir shops at Jekaba kazarmas

(Medieval Army Barracks), Stenders’s soap or chocolate shops

 

7:00 pm                Dinner at Melnā Kaķa (Black Cat) restaurant

After dinner explore  the Riga nightlife, visit of the Old Riga night clubs, Latvian local beer tasting at Ala (The Cave) club. Return back to the hotel
